JOB PURPOSE
Facilitate Warehouse activities through safe, efficient handling of stock.
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
The job is satisfactorily performed when:
- Goods/Items are properly packed/stored in keeping with the Company’s procedures.
- Items are picked and placed on pallets correctly as per the customer orders.
- A satisfactory working relationship is encouraged and developed with all employees as adapted and guided by Group and Company values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTIONAL:
- Picking – picking of goods to fulfil customer orders. Effective picking must be accurate, timely and ensure that all goods are of a saleable quality.
- Wrapping – proper shrink wrapping of pallets of goods after verifying items.
- Replenishing – surveying the picking area to determine the SKUs requiring replenishment. Careful attention should be paid to the date being replenished to ensure accurate stock rotation.
- Shelf Integrity – ensuring the accuracy of bins through physical count to match system quantity, lot, and expiry dates.
- Internal Movements – accurate product relocation within the Warehouse as necessary.
- Stock Counts – participation in stock counting exercises as required, ensuring inventory accuracy.
Safety: - Completing daily checks of vital equipment functions to ensure safe operation and consistent performance.
- Taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety when performing job functions, including always wearing appropriate PPE.
- Identifying any unsafe conditions and alerting Supervisors or Management.
- Co-operation with Supervisors and Management on all matters related to safety.
Housekeeping: - Accurate and timely isolation of damaged goods.
- Ensuring that the designated work area is always kept clean.
- Removal of unwanted waste material including, but not limited to, shrink wrap and other packaging materials.
- Any other activities deemed necessary by Management for the efficient functioning of the Warehouse.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Provide efficient customer service and ensure that superior customer relationships with customers are built and maintained.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT:
- Report any hazards that are identified to direct Manager/HR Officer.
- Ensure the application of and adherence to established HSE measures and procedures to ensure the well-being of themselves and employees.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Adhere to the company’s quality & customer service standards and procedures.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.

Skills:
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to follow instructions and achieve tasks within assigned timeframes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Minimum of three (3) CXC/CSEC passes including Math and English.
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
